Is Citiclion Injection Right Treatment For Immobility Due To Stroke?

Hi doc My mom had a steoke about 2 weeks ago and now she can t move her right side of the extremities,neurologist says that she need extensive physiotherapy, which she is getting little improvment has been there now she can move her right hanf fingers and we bend her knee she can flex it slowely. Our family friend doctor is advising neruromet or citiclion injections What would you suggest

I read your question and I understand your concern.

In my answer I will assume you have got the spelling wrong and what you mean is Citicoline and Neuromet.

There are several drugs by different companies claiming to help recovery from stroke. Citicoline is one of them, I wouldn't expect much from Neuromet which is mainly for peripheral nerve injury not stroke.
Unfortunately the benefit of any of these medications in circulation has to be proven in studies with big numbers of patients as we are talking about subtle benefits.
Up to now no drug has shown any real benefit in big scale studies. There
are a couple of small studies with some modest benefit from Citicoline, so it could be tried but you have to keep realistic expectations and not expect drastic improvement. Most improvement which happens in the first 6 months comes thanks to physiotherapy and the unaffected brain regions compensating for the damaged ones.
