Is Clicking And Popping In Ankle Normal After Fusion?

I had my ankle fused on december 6 and I am having popping and clicking in my ankle. Is this normal? I have been weight Bearing for two weeks without alot of pain. My surgeon said I had the worst ankle he has ever worked on and had to take a half cup of bone out of my hip to fill the massive hole in my tibia. I am surprised. That I was aloud to start weight bearing. After only eight weeks with such a massive bone graph.
