Hi,I am Dr. Amitkumar Sharma (Internal Medicine Specialist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Is Combination Of Ibuprofen And Cephalexin Cause Any Effect//.
With no prior reactions to either, I recently took 800mg ibuprofen and 500 Cephalexin about 10min apart. I had a reaction that included flushing, heat under skin, a few white raised bumps on body and of course a little anxiety due to this unexpected phenomenon. It went away after about 30 min and a cold oatmeal/baking soda bath. Was this a fluke or could this be caused by combining the two medications? Thanks, Afraid to take either now
Combination of Ibuprofen and Cephalexin does not cause any major drug interactions. If you are not allergic to any of the two drugs, then there is no issue in taking these drugs. In case of gastritis, you can take the drugs at different time of the days along with proton pump inhibitors.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
