Is Constant Water With Yellowish Puss Discharge From Rectum With No Help From Benafiber Serious?

I have a constant amount of water and a yellowish puss lik matter coming out of my rectum almost constantly now, and it seems to be getting worse. I consulted with my Doctor, and the only thing he suggested was taking Benafiber to absorb the water in my stool. It is not helping yet, but it has only been a couple of weeks. Will it take care of it, or can there be some underlying serious problem? Thanks

Hello!

Thank you for the query.

It may be serious. Such symptoms can be caused by rectum issues like anal fistula (a pathological connection between the rectum and the skin), some infection of intestines or even inflammatory bowels disease (Ulcerative Colitis or Crohns disease).
So you should not ignore this symptoms and Benafiber may be helpless.
Please consult proctologist and gastroenterologist. Stool test and colonoscopy seems necessary.

Hope this will help.
Regards.
