Is Dark Yellow Thick And Sticky Urine Related To Dehydration?

Hi. My dad has Metastatic Melanoma and is undergoing a drug trial. He has recently started to have dark yellow thick and sometimes sticky urine. Can this be related to dehydration? He has been getting a few side effects from the trial drug. Is there, or could there be a reason for this?
