Is Delayed Menstruation And Occurrence Of A Breast Lump Due To Provera Intake?
Hi, I took provera to prevent my period from coming On May 1st or a day before! I stopped taking it on May 15th. I still have not took my period. I did have like a (sac) discharge. This happened twice, first time was more severe than the last. I know this as I had a miscarriage previously. So it was just like that only this time there was no blood. That’s 21 days today my period hasn’t came. I’ve had the period tummy pains. But no period! I also found a lump of my breast which is worrying me also, could this be cause the provera medication?
You can wait for 5-6 days to look for your period. If it doesn't come than further investigations like hormonal profile, urine HCG card test and TSH estimation can be done.
Medroxyprogesterone sometime can lead to delayed period. For your breast lump, I suggest you investigate with FNAC immediately to rule out nature of the lesion and to exclude cancer mass.
It is not related to Hormonal medication.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
