Is Diarrhea A Side Effect Of Gastroscopy?

Hi, today under went a gastroscopy so my stomach could be assessed after some severe heartburn. During the day I have recovered well apart from having a bit of a sore throat. Now however I have really bad diarrhea. It is almost water-like. I did not have this before the gastroscopy. Is this just an unwanted side effect or could it be more serious??
