Is Diarrhea Normal After An Iron Infusion?
I had 2 iron infusions about 3 weeks ago and immediately after the second one, started having very severe diarrhea, every day, all day and a couple of times at night. My Dr. said I did not have to go back for any more iron. I can not eat. I might eat 4 or 5 bites of something in a day. My Dr. is out of the country. I am taking Imodium like crazy. HELP! Hello,
Iron infusion can cause diarrhea as a side effect.
I suggest to take an over the counter treatment such as Imodium.
I also suggest to take daily probiotics.
If the symptoms continue, you should consult your docotr for a specific treatment.
