Is Disc Degenerate Disease Curable?

Hi Doc! How are you ? Pray you are well..Well ive a very good friend hes told me he has discs degenerate ..his back.Was very concern...and would like to know if its curable? Is it cancerous? Very sad for him..Please kindly advise..Thanks so much! greatly appreciate...May God Bless u Doc!

No this is not cancer and it is not curable. It can simply be a part of the normal aging process and is mostly nothing to worry about. Its sometimes difficult to determine if these changes seen on an MRI scan are responsible for the patients symptoms in the back or not.
