Is Discontinuing Budocort After Few Days Of Usage Safe?

Dear Doctor, my daughter just turned 10 we had discontinued inhalers since the time she was 4 as she responded well to homeopathy but recently she had wheezing during the nights for almost a month and did not respond well to homeopathy and as she has not had a good sleep and was in discomfort during the nights. Her pediatrician recommended budocort with asthalin and allegra. She is lot better now with the inhaler(taken twice a day since the last two days) and can I taper it out within a weeks time. she is also complaining of fatigue and I am concerned about sideeffects. Her pediatrician has asked me to continue for 3 months. But I am worried she will get depended on that. Is it O.K. to discontinue after a few days of usage and try alternate source of medicine as that has worked for her before? Request your kind guidance. Thank You Happy Dussera!

Hello
As you mentioned that your daughter were taking budocort ( steroid ) for many years , now after a brief period of homeopathic treatment ,she again develop wheezing .
When such patient visit my clinic with these symptoms I prescribe bambuterol+montelukast once in the night and usually patient respond this treatment very well .
When she become alright stop this , if recurs , start again .
According to my experience this is a safe treatment .
Since this is a prescription treatment so consult your physician and get his opinion.
