Is Dizziness, headache And Nausea Symptoms Of Concussion?
About six hours ago I was struck full force in the head by a heavy door. My vision was blurry at the impact, and soon returned to normal. I also felt a bit dizzy and out of it for a while. I have developed a slight headache and a feeling of pressure in my head that is difficult to describe. I am also feeling nauseated. The headache and nausea have not gone away, and I have a general sense of feeling ill. I am concerned that I may have a mild concussion. Am I just overly anxious, or is this a possibility? What should I do?
I believe there is definitely a chance that the incident you describe as well as the symptoms suggest a mild concussion. Nowadays, we recommend an initial evaluation by a physician knowledgeable in concussion injuries since there can be more specific that can be done depending on the severity of the injury and the symptoms that may be present at the time. I'd check out an urgent care center or even ER where you are likely to get at least an imaging study of the brain to rule out a bleed.
