Is Doxinate Safe For Nausea?

Hi I am 8 weeks pregnant and have been having a lot of nausea. I am also working, hence my doctor has advised me to take doxinate 10 mg, twice daily for atleast 15 days as of now. Is it safe to take this medication for this long or even later. Thanks RN

Hi.

Yes, it is safe to treat nausea during pregnancy. Doxinate is commonly prescribed to treat nausea and vomiting associated with early pregnancy. It is considered to be safe during pregnancy. However, if your symptoms persist your doctor would prescribe other anti-emetic drugs along with treatment for dehydration.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
