Is Duphaston Likely To Help Pelvic Area Pain?

i am 33 yrs female, i am not having my periods since 2 months my last period was on 28th of march,i had negative pregnancy test both blood and HPT.on 11 june iwent to doctor she gave me duphastone for five days now she has called me after 5 days,i m very worried want to know is there any chance thati would be preg.i have pain in my pelvic region in end of apr and mid may now it has subsided,after having duphastone imy breast has pain,my breast has increased in size .in jan i had UTI at tat time i had ultrasound and i had noproblem .plz reply m very worried..........

Hello,

Duphaston is a progesterone is a female hormone and helps in mounting the menstrual cycle and function of the uterus. When the body produces inadequate amounts of progesterone, it can cause infertility and abortion, and irregular menstruation and disturbed female reproductive cycle. It helps to regulate menstruation and decreases premenstrual syndrome. In your case, it helps in your missed date. Avoid taking Duphaston with epilepsy medicines, Rifempine and other tubercular drugs. It should be started at temp 25 degree, it is not a pain killer.
