Is Early Intrauterine Gestational Sac Of 5 Weeks And 1 Week Normal?

Hello Doctor's:



I had a U/S in my 5 weeks post periods, confirming positive pregnant via home tests .



Report says :

Uterus is anteverted and has a GS of 0.7 mm corresponding to 5 weeks and 1 day.

Gestation sac is regular.

Fetal pole is not yer seen.

cervical length is adequate.

internal OS closed.

Both ovaries appreat normal.



Impression :

Early intrauterine gestational sac of 5 weeks and 1 day



Is this Normal.. how do I confirm this is not Ectopic formation.

Hi, I went through your query. There is no cause for worry. Your report is completely normal. The report mentions a regular gestational sac that is intrauterine. So there is no ectopic formation. An ectopic occurs outside the uterine cavity and so is never 'intrauterine'. The gestational age of the fetus also corresponds with your last menstrual period.
