Is Echogenic Shadow On The Heart Of The Fetus Symptom For Downs Syndrome?
Hello Dr Samuel , I am 20 wks pregnant and had an ultrasound done . They told me there is an echogenic shadow around the heart of the baby and that could indicate Down syndrome. Eventhough all other screening tests are negative , based on ultrasound how high is the chance ? I am a worried mother to be .

If ur USG suggest that some ecogenic shadow around the heart
It may be normal in some time .
By usg there is not to say about down syndrom.
If ur anti natal blood report are normal which are done for down syndrome then u have not to worry
