Is Eliminating The Corneal Scarring To A Significant Degree Possible?

i am being treated for a corneal ulcer of the left eye by a corneal specialist. something got into my eye while i was cutting my lawn on a windy day. didn't realize anything until about 24 hours later when the eye was blood shot, extremely sensitive to light, and very painful. i am about 4 weeks into this. taking lotemax as prescribed, since there is corneal scarring on the central part of the cornea. lots of haze, and focus problems. my question is the prognosis for a full recovery to 20/20 vision in the left eye, i.e. the possibility of eliminating the corneal scarring to a significant degree to minimize loss of vision in the left eye.

Ophthalmologist 's  Response
Hello
Welcome to Health care magic.

I reviewed your history. It seems from the history that you are having corneal ulcer and you are on treatment for the same under the supervision of a ophthalmologist/ corneal specialist.
Corneal ulcer will leave behind a opacity once it heals and corneal opacity can be treated depending on the depth and grade of the opacity and vision can be improved. If the opacity is very superficial it will improve spontaneously and no treatment is required.
Hope this information is helpful to you.
Do write back to me for further questions.

Thank you
