Is Few Epithelial Cells And 3-4 WBCs In Urine Normal?
Hi, please I need interpretation for urine mcs, every other parameter seem okay because it ranges from nil to negative, Ph-6, SG- 1.025, culture no growth. But am a little uncomfortable at the moment with mild or feeling of itching and I just completed second antibiotics in a month. My concern is about the 3 parameters listed below Epithelial cell- Few WBC- 3-4 Others- Leucocyte (++). I don t think it s normal please advice. Regards
Dear- thanks for using our service.I understand your concern and will tell you that the result doesn't correlate with an urinary track infection. However, I recommend you to get an urine culture with sensitivity to make sure that you don't have a bacterial infection that is resistant to the antibiotics that you took.It happens a lot that we treat a patient with an antibiotic and the bacteria is resistant to it and that is why the urine analysis shows a borderline result which does not correlate with the symptoms of the patient. I hope that my advise has been helpful Dr.Sara
