Is Flying Safe While Suffering From Pressure In The Head?

I suffered a spontaneous csf leak 4 months ago that seems to have healed naturally for the most part. I still get the odd feelings of pressure in my head especially with certain movements, ie. bending over, getting up too fast, etc. and stiffness/weakness in my neck and shoulders. I will be travelling in June which will be 9 months since the csf leak occurred, however, I am concerned about flying. Will I be able to fly?

Hi,

Travel may cause pneumocephalus in case active leaks identified.

But it is not a good possibility of backflow and microbial contamination due to the pressure changes within the cabin.

So please take an advice of your treating doctor, he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
