Is Frequent Urination Because Of Flucloxacillin?

I was prescribed flucloxacillin for a lump in my armpit. As they were to be taken 4x a day I completed the first day. On that night I felt the need to urinate frequently, the next morning I took my tablet as prescribed and my urge to urinate was worse. I took my second tablet but did not take the third or fourth. I went to A&E and they told me I had a water infection and was given trimethoprim for 3 days. It is now the fourth day and I still need to urinate frequently. Is this because the flucloxacillin might be in my system?
Thanks

Urologist 's  Response
Hi
There does not seem to be any relation to flucloxacillin and urinary frequency. It is possible that you might have an urinary infection in which the bugs are resitant to trimethoprim.
Please contact your doctor or A&E again.
