Is Hand Fractured And Infected If It Is Swollen, Red And Painful After Injury?

I punched a window 3 weeks ago, cut my knuckle open. I tried to let it heal, but its now swollen, red and hurts to move my hand!! i already opened it to squeeze the fluid out, that helped the swelling, now its swollen again. my question is, can my hand be fractured and infected? l

Hi,
From history it seems that you might be having some infection on the part and due to its position as part does not get rest, healing is delayed.
Go for one antibiotic medicine course for 3 days.
apply antibiotic cream locally after proper cleaning.
