Hello,

Welcome to HCM and thank you for the query.
Appreciate your concern for the person under your care.
There is no harm in giving a bath to a person who had a stroke but certain precautions are required.
1. Temperature of the water- It should be lukewarm or at the body temperature. Hot water leads to vasodilatation and drop in blood pressure which can worsen the stroke. Cold water leads to chills and shivering.
2. time of bath - avoid a bath immediately after a feed.
3. Be gentle . Movement of joints in the limbs involved is good but be gentle.
Take care
