Is Headache Along With Nose Bleeding A Particular Type Of Headache?

Hello. I ve got severe headaches. I started getting them a year and a half ago and they got better after a nose bleed. I then had my nose cauterized and they continued getting worse and worse as the year progressed. Then I was diagnosed aneamic (Iron deficiency and low blood cell count) and the headaches got even worse while my anemia cleared up so what I want to know is, is there a type of headache that my nosebleeds and anemia could have lessed the pain of? and if so what kind?

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have headache along with nose bleeding . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like infection , trauma , allergic and nonallergic rhinitis. , hypertension and use of blood thinning medications .

Nose bleeding in case of head injury sometimes become a emergency condition if there are symptoms like dizziness , vomiting and neck pain you should go to emergency . You should avoid touching or picking nose with any sharp object. Take ibuprofen or acetaminophen for headache .

I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist for proper examination . Doctor may order CT scan , MRI and do physical examination . Doctor may refer you to neurologist if he/she finds problem to be related with brain injury or problem related to nose . For now put pressure on your nose and apply ice packs .
