Is Hip Pain Due To Sciatic Nerve Problems?

I am having hip pain which after having read info on line I believe is sciatic nerve. After sitting for an hour or so when I stand to walk there is pain and I limp for a few steps. Pain does not totally disappear, but I am able to walk normally after a few steps. Does this sound like sciatic nerve problems?

Hi,

One of the possibilities could be sciatica, particularly those who sit for prolonged time. Please do consult an orthopedist. You need an examination and straight leg raising test to confirm this.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
