Is Huge Bump Caused By Hitting Leg And Spider Vein A Matter Of Concern?

About 10 years ago, while playing soccer...someone's knee hit my leg and it created a huge bump the size of a softball. It slowly decreased, but it is still sore to the touch and a large spider vein is in the spot. What is this? Will the spider vein keep growing? Should I get this checked out?

Hi Dear !! Thanks for your query to HCM.
Read and reviewed your query in context to your health issues.
In the given scenarios,You seem to suffer from-Hematoma from ruptured Varicose Vein.It is still sore due to the incompetent Varicose Vein causing thrombophebitis.
Accompanied DVT-deep Vein thrombosis- needs to be ruled.
Hence I would suggest immediate-USG with Color Doppler study of those leg veins and spider veins also.
Spider Vein at the site indicates incompetent perforating vein, with venous regurgistation/backflow,with blood stagnation in the area.
Hope this would help you to resolve your health issues.
