Is Increased Dosage Of Lamotrigine Helpful In Recovering Depression?

Hello, Im taking Buproprion 300mg/day and Lamotrigine 200mg/day for Bipolar2. I find I go through many moods throughout the day and usually start the day quite depressed and get better as the day goes on. Im wondering if increasing the dosage of lamotrigine may help? Thank you, Zoe

Hello Zoe,
I understand your mood alterations and the ensuing toll it takes on you. But increasing the dose of lamotrigine more than 200mg/day may not help.
Despite this, a trial of increased dose can be given. Better to divide the dose into two doses daily when increasing dose. I recommend you to consult your doctor and discuss the above options.
