Is Intercourse Advisable After Cervix Cauterization?

I got my cervix cauterized due to an abnormal pap with hpv. i got no instruction as to when i can or cant have sex, or orgasm through other ways besides vaginal intercourse. Also i asked about going swimming in an pool and didnt get a straight answer.

I can understand your problem.

Since complete recovery from this procedure usually takes about 3 weeks.

Avoid intercourse till complete healing has taken place.
Orgasm by other ways besides vaginal intercourse is also not advisable.
Keep the wound clean and dry hence swimming is not advisable.
Wear loose cotton undergarments.

Besides the above, resume regular/daily activities as early as possible. This helps in healing & a faster recovery
