Is Irregular Heart Beat Of A 2 Day Baby A Cause For Concern?

My new 2days old grandson has iregular heartbeat,which was already diagnosed before he was born. He was born 4 weeks early, but he weights 3.25 kg, has good colour, drinks and does everything normal.They are going to do heart scan today. I am stressing too much, too early?Thank you.

It should be clear to you that while he has an irregular heartbeat, he does not seem to be any the worse for it. Hence, you should be concerned but not panicky. The scan will probably be normal, as very few cases of irregular heartbeat have a physically abnormal heart.
