Hi,I am Dr. Amitkumar Sharma (Internal Medicine Specialist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I had an injection yesterday from an orthopedic doctor I ve been seeing for a tendon in my ankle--dexmethasone & xylocain. I went directly to the GP & because of allergies/cold--I didn t know which. It didn t cross my mind to mention the ankle injection when asked about meds i was on & I was given a steroid shot in my hip. I don t know what it was called. Is this a problem?

General & Family Physician, Dr. Vasudha's Response
Hi,
Steroid has anti-inflammatory reaction. So it would help you out. Any way, steroid injection in joint needs to be given by an expert so you should go to orthopedic doctor in future.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Vasudha Jayant Athavale, General & Family Physician
