Is It A Matter Of Concern To Have Blood In Urine After Running Or Shovelling Snow?

Hi - I am a white, 62 year old active male. About once or twice a month, I see spots of blood in my urine. Usually, after being active like running or shoveling snow. I do get yearly physicals that sometimes do show spotty blood cells in my urine. Should I be overly concerned or just keep an eye out. Thanks, Brad

Hi,
As you get this problem often, it requires evaluation as you are 62 years and should rule out some space occupying lesion in your prostate, kidney and bladder.
but most common causes are urinary tract infection, kidney stones and enlarge prostate.
Go for routine urine check up and ultra sound.
consult your doctor and get examined.
Ok and take care.
