Is It Advisable To Apply Lobate Gm For Redness, Itchiness, Cracks, Roughness On Finger?

My wife is having a bad fingure. Her fingure had redness & is experiencing itching. There are small cracks i mean that the skin has become very rough at that point. It is the area of about 1 inch. is it advisable to apply Lobate - GM (Neo). Kindly suggest.

Hi. Thanks for posting your concern at HCM

Hand Dermatitis is common among females, specially in those who are engaged in household work and are constantly exposing their hands to water, soaps, detergents, cleansers, vegetables etc.

I advice my patients to use a good moisturizing cream twice daily on the whole of hand and application of a potent steroid like clobetasol (lobate) over and above the moisturizer only at the affected patches.

Once the patches resolve steroid can be stopped but continued use of the moisturizer cream is recommended to prevent recurrence.
