Is It Advisable To Give Meftal-P For Fever?

hi doctor .. my son is 1 year 9 months now .. he is suffering from high fever .. is it advisable to give him meftal-p ? as i was informed by my pediatrician that it is not recommended for kids and that this drug is banned in india .. Please advice .. Thanking you ...

Usually paracetamol is used to treat fever in children which is the safest drug to reduced the raised body temperature in young children.
However, if fever does not subside even after taking paracetamol, then Meftal-P can be given to the young children.
Since it is known to cause stomach problem it should not be given on empty stomach.
