Is It Advisable To Start Blood Pressure Medication At The Age Of 25?

My doctor wants to put me on blood pressure medicine and I need a 2nd opinion because I am a 25 year old female 5’5 and 120lbs. I am extremely active but rarely workout. I am a stay at home mom so I am constantly cleaning my house, running errands and taking my daughter to and from softball several times a week. Most days from the time I wake up I am on my feet until around 8PM. I rarely drink soda and hardly ever add salt to my food. Most days I drink water or Crystal light.
For years I have been battling anxiety. I don’t take medicine for it because I would really like to kick it on my own. I will remove myself from situations that are causing the anxiety, take deep breaths and meditate. Doing that helps a little but I never stops the anxiety. On a scale from 1-10 I am around a 5 almost all of the time and a 6-9 when I am having attacks. I think the attacks are brought on from the constant stress I am under and they even come at random unexplainable times.
My question to you is do you think that my consistent anxiety could be a result of my high blood pressure and if so would it be more beneficial for me to begin treating the anxiety first with medication rather than taking blood pressure medicine? I am very hesitant to start taking blood pressure medication do to the fact that I am young and fairly healthy (I do smoke around a half of pack a day).
This could be nothing but another thing that has been happening is my toes will turn blue/purple when I am sitting down. My feet do not have to be cold for this to happen. When I asked my doctor about this she told me that she couldn’t explain it which kind of makes me question her judgment on other things. I know she never really takes the time to sit down and truly listen to what I have to say and that is why I am so desperate for a 2nd opinion.

hi,
Smoking has ingredients which causes vasoconstriction which leads narrowing of blood vessels, leading to decreased blood supply to periphery and bluish discoloration and tingling.
For the same reason it also increases your blood pressure.
Now you decrease your smoking your bp And other symptoms will decrease. but bp remains elevated you need to treat it whatever may b the reason.
Keep bp apparatus and try to monitor bp.
Anxiety is probably not the reason in your case
