Is It Advisable To Take Augmentin While On Statin?

Hi! I ve just started with antibiotics, Augmentin 500, i have been taken it for 2 days, i have 5 days left. 3 times a day. My question is if i can take my daily medicine, which is simvastatin 40mg. I have been taking statins every night for the past 5 years. I have heard the combination between statins and antibiotics are not good. Can you please make that clear for me, can i tane statin while im on augmentin? thank you very much!

there is no interaction between augmentin and statin use..so there is no worry to take statins when you are consuming augmentin....augmentin is a combination of amoxycillin and clauvulanic acid...statin and augmentin doesnt have interaction..so no problems
