Hi Doc. im 33 yrs old and I have mild schizophrenia. Im taking my daily medications, chlorpromazine zycloran. i sleep 9 hrs a day, because of my meds. I want to sleep say only 7-8 hrs a day because of my work load and im planning to buy ferrous sulfate tabs to achieve this. Hello
Anti psychotic ( tablets for schizophrenia ) tablets causes sedation . Ferrous sulphate if given to a patient who is also taking drugs for schizophrenia ,only decreases the serum level of these drugs ( chlorpromazine , zycloran ) in that sense it may help you in your case .
Directly ferrous sulphate drugs don't causes any insomnia ( decreases in sleep ).
At least there is no scientific proof supporting your claims that this decreases sleep.
Good luck.
