Is It Advisable To Take Amox Clav Instead Of Amoxicillin?

i was bitten 4 days ago. rec.hospital care. iam takeing amoxicillan.500 mg.3 times aday.ive only applied neosporin but it is now red and sore.can i change from amoxicillan to amox clay?a deep pit bull wound. my dog was attacked i got involved.they have the dog.

Yes, I would recommend using Amoxicillin / Clavulanic acid for a dog bite like this. I would also recommend following up with your doctor to make sure you don't need any other management, such as surgery to remove any infected tissue or drain any abscesses.
