Is It Advisable To Take Tetralysal Along With Antibiotics?

I am a woman aged 43 prescribed tetralysal which I have taken for 11 days and I think I have got thrush from them as it states is a possible effect. I do have a box of single dose thrush in Corfu last year but didn t need it. It contains two small red and white tablets yet the box states 1 capsule but this is how it came. My question is can I take these even though I m on the antibiotics and I also have the Marina coil fitted? thank you

Hi,

It is generally advisable to avoid taking two different antibiotics at the same time unless specifically instructed to do so by a doctor. This is because taking multiple antibiotics can increase the risk of side effects and decrease their effectiveness in treating the infection.

If you believe you have developed thrush from taking tetralysal, it is important to talk to your doctor about it. They can prescribe an appropriate treatment for thrush, taking into account any other medications or medical conditions you may have.

Regarding the thrush medication you have on hand, it is best to follow the instructions on the box or consult with a healthcare professional before taking it. Additionally, it is important to inform your doctor about any medications or treatments you are taking, including the Marina coil, to avoid any potential drug interactions or complications.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
