Is It Alarming If A Child Is Getting Loose Motions Every Other Month?
My son is 1.5 yrs old, he gets loose motions every other month, doctor says its becoz he might be putting stuff picked up from floor into his mouth; I am worried. Antiboitics havent been prescribed to him as its always gastro or viral.. is this alarming?

Loose motions every other month in a child of this age is not uncommon , this happens because child is putting something or other in mouth that might not be clean leading to infection and loose motions. There is no need to worry unless there is significant weight loss.
