Is It Common Not To Hear Heart Beat At First Month Of Pregnancy?

hello Doc....I went for a scan at 7 weeks 5 days as per midwife. They found a less than 3 mm fetal pole but cudnt see the heartbeat . Is it common not to b able to see heartbeat when size is less than 3 mm ?

1.In first month with out heart beat can be possible. But you are saying midwife said 7 weeks and 5 days ( by this time you should have the heart beat )
2.For 7 weeks with 3mm fetal pole absence cardiac seems like missed abortion.
3.Generally 5 1/2 weeks trans vaginal ultrasound fetal heart sound is heard. Trans abdominally its heard from 6 1/2 weeks.
4.In your case it looks like a missed abortion. Repeat a scan after couple of days and plan for an abortion.
