General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello
This is a particular case ( as you mentioned in the query that this is a cavity pneumonia ) .
As I have seen in my clinic that there develop a cavity and its wall surround s with membranes ( thick and serous type ) , usually in untreated or not properly treated cases.
Usually this type of cavity is anywhere in the lung field but mostly in the apex of lung .
If blood starts and don't respond to medicine , SURGERY is only option but if it responds to medicine usually for time being don't require surgery .
I advise you consult chest & tubercular specialist and get his opinion ( 2nd one ) .
Good luck.
