Is It Common To Have Swollen Uterus Post Mirena Insertion?

My uterus seems swollen from the Mirena install. I had it put in last Monday. My doctor assumed my uterus was standard and it was short. So she tried to push it back further than needed. Nevertheless, the Mirena is in there. Is it common for the uterus to still be swollen?

Hi,

Mirena does not cause swelling of uterus. But normal reaction of dull ache after insertion for few days is there. If you have unbearable pain, fever or pain while bowel movements or urination. Please consult your treating gynecologist.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
