Is It Dangerous To Take High Dose Of Paracetamol?

Hi.... I just had this question because my friend is worried of his life n he,wants to end up.....he is tellin tat I m gonna take 20 paracetemol n,die....i m advicin him not to do.....is 20 paracetemol in a go is dangerous ? Because I ll nt b thr to look aftr him all te time...

Detailed answer:Normal therapeutic dosage roughly 10-15 mg/kg/dose,maximum tolerable dose 4-6 grams/day if given at 6hrs and 4hrs interval respectively.20 tablets roughly contains above 6grams(if its a 325mg tab) which when taken as single dose,can cause acute fulminant liver failure,and without an antidote called N-acetylcysteine,victim may even end up in coma and death.Hope I have answered your query.If any other questions,happy to answer you.Take care of you and your friend.
