Is It Dengue Fever For One Year Seven Months Old?

my one year and seven months daughter had a fever last Thursday until Sunday...that Sunday, we went to a doctor and had a CBC test.her platelet count is 169. the following day, her fever subside. a CBC had been made again and it went down to 167. i am afraid it is dengue?

Hallo .Thank you for asking this question . Your baby must be suffering from some viral infection . Dengue is again a viral infection but report is not suggestive of that . Platelet count 1 lac 67 thousand is absolutely normal , you have to worry if it is dropped down to 50, 000 . Second report is low . I suppose this is because of better hydration of your baby on that day . Hope I have answered your query . For further questions please contact .
