Is It Difficult For Body To Metabolize The Drugs?

i HAVE JUST STARTED PRISTIQ, 3 DAYS AGO, AND FROM WHAT I am reading there doesnot seem to be any benefit. i WAS ON CELEXA AND WELLBUTRIN BUT MY DOCTOR SAID MY SYSTEM WAS NOT METABOLOZING THEM AND TOOK ME OFF. I do not KNOW WHAT to believe - any thoughts. i HAVE ALSO JUST LOST 35 POUNDS OVER A TEN MONTH PERIOD AND DO NOT WANT TO TAKE ANYTHING THAT IS GOING TO PUT THE POUNDS BACK ON.

Welbutrin and Celexa are usually metabolized well by the liver and eliminated by the kidney. Unless there is any Liver or kidney dysfunction, there should be no problem metabolizing these medications.
Weight gain is a concern with any anti depressant. Follow a healthy diet and exercise regularly to prevent gaining weight. You can also try switching to Effexor, which has the least incidence of weight gain among antidepressant.
