Is It Necessary To Get Swollen Butt Cheek Checked After Falling?

Hi, I fell down the stairs yesterday morning with my 3 year old daughter in my arms and landed very hard on my left butt cheek causing a very large and very dark bruise. The bruise is very painful and the brusie itself is warm to the touch with a large swollen lump under it. Do I need to get it looked at?
