Hi

You may give him Acetaminophen orally (dose according to his weight) for the headache to see if he gets okay.
In case if the head ache persists or if its associated forceful repeated vomiting you might have to visit a doctor.

Regarding the lump behind his ears, its likely to be a lymph node. Its quite normal for kids to have such lymph nodes- the cause may vary from head lice/ any infections of the scalp/ external ear or pinna.
If you find similar lumps in his neck/ arm pits/ groins or if the size is very big or if its red and inflammed, its better to have them checked by a doctor.

Hope my answer helps.
Wish your son good health.
