Is It Necessary To Take Rabies Shot For Dog Bite?

Hello my dog teeth scratch my hand, it wasn t deep at all but it bleeds. Prior to that my dog has been vaccinated earlier before the incident happen (exactly 1 and 1/2 hours before the incident happen). My dog stays indoor and doesn t interact with any other wild animals. Do I need to take anti rabies shot?

Hi ,
If the dog was not vaccinated earlier then you must take ARV along with that passive immunization with tetnus toxoid . Clean the wound with running sterile water n apply betadine solution and regular dressing later . Active immunization (ARV)should be taken on day0,3,7,14,28(if dog survives after 10 days then no need to take last two dose).
