Is It Needed To Take Anti-rabies Injection For Rat Bite Or Scratch?
I'm not sure if I was bitten by a rat or just a scratch. i went to the doctor and she injected anti-tetanus. She told me to got to the city doctor for anti rabies. But I'm not sure if the rat bite me or just scratch. Is it ok not to take the anti rabies?

Although rats and mice are rarely infected with rabies, and their bites are not known to transmit this disease to humans. However, once develops rabies is 100% fatal, hence it is a safe practice to to take the anti rabies vaccine along with Inj. Tetanus toxoid.
The anti rabies vaccine should be taken on 0,3, 7, 14, and 28 days.
