Is It Normal For A 6 Month Old To Pass Stool 5 To 6 Times?

hi my baby just completed 6 months yesterday. before 10 days i started to give cerelac wheat with apple flavour. for the first one week he did not have any problem with his stools. but after one week he is passing stools 5 to 6 times a day in small amounts. is it normal. due to this i stopped giving cerelac for the past 2 days and just breastfeeding him, but still he s passing stools the same way. please advice.

Hello. Thank you for your question. Change of bowel patterns is very common in this age group. 5-6 bowel movements per day is normal as is once per day. As long as the baby is reasonably comfortable while passing the bowel the movement, there is no reason to worry. You do not have to change his diet.
