Is It Normal For Urethra To Seem Darker Than Usual?

I noticed something odd today. I was getting ready to urinate when I noticed a darkness on the inside of my urethra. It doesn t burn or sting to pee, and it lightened up a bit afterward but it still raises some concerns. I haven t seen a doctor in over a year but I show no symptoms of any std. Is this discoloration normal?

Urologist 's  Response
Hello and welcome to HCM.
As an Urologist, i can fully understand your concern.
Normally, one can't see the inside of the urethra, except if you strain to look inside, the tip of the external opening in penis.
The dark spot you mention, may or may not be pathological.
It could be there since birth or part f a disease process.
If in doubt,it's safest to have it checked by an Urologist.
You could also send pictures of it to me,as a direct question.
