General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

It is quite normal to have spotting after Mirena coil insertion. But small, hard pain free lump that is causing you discomfort needs to be investigated. You are suggested to get clinically examined by a gynecologist. Get per vaginal examination done.

If required your gynae will recommend Pap smear, USG (Uterus) or biopsy of the lump detected. Such symptoms can be due to cervical cysts, polyps, cervicitis, cervical cancer, etc. In the meantime, avoid sex, avoid douching and take care of your hygiene. You will be treated according to the pathology detected.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
